Jersey City, N.J. –Drexel men's tennis lost, 4-3, to St. Peter's College in a non-conference tennis match. The Dragons split the six singles matches, but the Peacocks won two of the three doubles matches to earn the decisive point.
No. 1 singles player Omar Laalej (Meknes, Morocco) won in straight sets over St. Peter's Cprime Realista, 6-3, 6-1. At No. 4 singles Harrison Clare (Sachse, Texas/Sachse) won a tough three-set match over Peter Czajka. Jarrod Popovice (Bethlehem, Pa./Moravian Academy) was Drexel's other winner as he defeated Andrew Maple, 6-1, 6-4, at No. 5 singles.
The Dragons return to the court on Sunday, Feb. 25 for a match against Lehigh. The first match will begin at 10 a.m.
